Hello, I’m Cameron, the founder of Next Step Learning.
I am an experienced SEND professional with a passion for helping children and young people develop the confidence, skills and resilience they need to succeed. I currently work within a mainstream secondary school, where I support students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping to remove barriers to learning and enable every child to achieve their full potential.
I successfully completed my Level 3 Specialist Teaching Assistant (SEND) Apprenticeship, achieving a Distinction, and I am currently completing my Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship to further develop my knowledge and expertise in supporting learners with additional needs.
My experience includes supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and a variety of learning differences. I also have extensive experience in delivering targeted interventions, supporting EHCP outcomes, teaching Functional Skills English, and helping students successfully transition from primary to secondary education.
At Next Step Learning, I believe that every child learns differently. That’s why every lesson is tailored to the individual learner, building on their strengths while providing the support they need to overcome challenges. My aim is not only to improve academic outcomes, but also to develop confidence, independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
Whether your child needs support with KS2 English, KS3 English, Functional Skills English, or specialist SEND-focused tuition, I am committed to providing a calm, engaging and nurturing environment where they can thrive and take their next step with confidence.
